A side event on PROTON will be organised at the Ninth session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime

PROTON and its activity and outcomes are the focus of “Changing Organized Crime: Lessons from EU Project PROTON”, a side event of the Ninth session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (15 to 19 October 2018, Vienna, Austria). It consists of three parts entitled “Transformations of traditional OC in the last 30 years: the Italian case”, “Hypotheses about the future of OC” and “Implications for UNTOC Convention”. Among the speakers PROTON’s Coordinator Prof. Ernesto U. Savona.

 

The event is organised by UNODC Global Programme against Serious and Transnational Organized Crime with the support of Transcrime-Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and co-sponsored by the Permanent Mission of Italy. It will take place on Thursday October 18 from 1:10 to 2:00 pm.
